About Us

We’re two brutally honest college girls writing what we know and live everyday. Our names are Katelyn and Kayla, but you know us as Kate and Kay. We met our freshman year of high school, and have been inseparable ever since. Our journeys have since taken us to college over 1,000 miles away from each other. Kate & Kay was created in early December of 2015 but was officially went live on the first day of January 2016. You can find our personal social media on the sidebar to the right, and the blog’s social media under the contact page.

Kate & Kay in Ireland (Summer 2017)

To put it simply, I’m just a Northern girl learning how to become a Southern Belle day by day. I’m a sophomore nursing major at The University of Alabama and an active member of Gamma Phi Beta (Epsilon Lambda chapter). I’m a monogram enthusiast and I absolutely love cherry blossoms and peonies. When I’m not working my little butt off or blogging, you can find me at sisterhood events, cheering on the Tide in Bryant-Denny Stadium, and living the most typical Southern college experience ever. Roll Tide y’all and happy reading!

I am a business marketing major at Quinnipiac University. I absolutely love traveling around the world with my family and studying the history of everything I visit. I have been dancing different styles since the age of three. It is a big part of my life, and when I’m not dancing, I’m singing. My favorite novel is “The Great Gatsby”, although sometimes I claim it’s “To Kill A Mockingbird” (they are both really good). That’s a small summary of who I am, and what I do. I hope you enjoy our blog, and thank you for checking it out! Go Bobcats!
